If you’re looking for AI tools for salon owners that actually work in the real world… and you’re still not using AI in your day-to-day, this is your sign to start. Not tomorrow. Now.

I know what you’re thinking. “I don’t have time to learn another platform.” Or, “Everything AI produces sounds the same.” And I get it, those are real concerns. But not using AI is already costing you time and money, whether you realise it or not.

Let me break down exactly how AI can work for your business right now.

AI Agents: The Receptionist You Don’t Have to Pay

One of the biggest game-changers for salons and clinics right now is AI agents. These are essentially digital staff members that can answer your phones 24/7, handle appointment booking, fill white-space gaps in your diary, and even follow up with old clients, without you lifting a finger.

Think about how many calls go unanswered during a busy treatment day. Every missed call is a potentially missed booking. With an AI agent, that problem disappears. It knows your services, your prices, your availability. It doesn’t get sick. It doesn’t need a lunch break. And it’s available at midnight when a client decides she wants to book in. I have the most incredible system for exactly this – Check out here: https://katiegodfrey.biz/the-ai-growth-engineforsalons

ChatGPT and Claude: Your Content Creation Power Tools

If you haven’t tried Claude yet, it’s time. Alongside ChatGPT, it’s one of the most powerful tools available for creating content quickly, but only if you use it properly.

The biggest mistake people make is they expect AI to do all the thinking. What actually works is this: you bring the ideas, the stories, the personality. AI polishes it.

Here’s how I use it:

Write like yourself first. Type your email, your caption, your ideas into the chat like you’d say it out loud. Then ask AI to tighten it up, fix spelling, and make it flow better.

Train it to sound like you. Tell it the words you don’t use. Tell it if you hate those long dashes (I do). Feed it your edited content so it learns your voice over time.

Use it for content ideas. Ask it what your ideal client is searching for right now. Give it your client’s pain points and let it generate a content plan. You don’t have to use every idea,  sometimes it just sparks the right one.

Repurposing Content: Work Smarter, Not Harder

Here’s something I do with every single podcast episode. Once I have the transcript, I put it into Claude and ask it to produce:

– YouTube show notes

– Apple and Spotify show notes

– An episode title

– A blog post

– An email to my database

– A social media caption

– A magazine-style article

All from one piece of content. What used to take me a full day now takes about 30 minutes. That’s not a small thing, that’s hours back in my week, every single week.

You can do exactly the same thing in your business. Write one email and ask AI to turn it into five social posts. Record a short video and pull the transcript to create a blog. The content is already there, AI just helps you multiply it.

The Tools I Actually Use

Claude – my go-to for content creation and repurposing

ChatGPT – still useful, especially if you’ve already trained it on your voice

Captions app – for branded video captions

OpusClip – pulls the best viral clips from long-form content automatically and posts

Higgsfield – AI image generation, brilliant for product images and branded visuals (way less painful than Canva)

Don’t Forget Your Personal Brand

Here’s the one thing I want you to take away from all of this. AI is a productivity tool. It is not your brand.

As AI-generated content floods social media, the businesses that win are the ones people can see, feel, and connect with. That means showing your face. Sharing your story. Being the human behind the business.

Use AI to speed up the admin. Use your personality to stand out.

Your personal brand is your biggest asset right now. Don’t let AI replace it, let it amplify it.
